A graduate of Syracuse University, Proteus X is an Ex-Hollywood Casting Director (Disappearing Acts, Soul Food). HBO Executive Producer. Paramount Pictures Executive Producer (Screenwriter).

Proteus X produced the critically acclaimed musical Sanctified at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC.

JAVON JOHNSON

Producer/Writer/Director

Currently starring as Richard Hallsen in Tyler Perry’s hit BET drama The Oval, Javon Johnson is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. Founding Artistic Director of Bear Fruit Conservatory and a founding ensemble member of Chicago’s Congo Square Theatre Company.

A Broadway actor (Lombardi) and protégé of the late August Wilson. Johnson is an award-winning writer whose play Hambone was produced during Victory Gardens Theater’s Tony Award-winning season. His short film Heaven, directed by Chadwick Boseman, earned a nomination from the African Movie Academy Awards.

Johnson co-directed the sold-out Apollo Theater showcase of E. Lynn Harris Invisible Life: The Musical and appeared as the Reverend in Tyler Perry’s film Boo! A Madea Halloween.

New cast Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.

e’Marcus Harper-Short is a GRAMMY Award nominee, Hollywood NAACP Theater Image Award nominee, multi Helen Hayes Award nominee, and a Helen Hayes winning musical director. Career highlights include productions of CROWNS by Regina Taylor, Black Nativity, Dreamgirls, The Wiz, Top dog/Underdog, Dinah Was, da Kink in my Hair, and E. Lynn Harris Invisible Life: The Musical showcase at the
Apollo Theater.

Performances/tours/recordings/television appearances include Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson, Walter Hawkins, MC Hammer, Tramaine Hawkins.

e’Marcus is also a Helen Hayes nominated sound designer, former Artist in Residence at his alma mater Howard University’s Department of Theater Arts, and currently a United States Special Arts Envoy.

Legendary Father of House Music DJ Teddy

What does Micheal Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Crystal Waters, Erykah Badu, Martha Wash and Ultra Nate’ all have in common? All of them have been produced by Grammy nominated Teddy Douglas of The Basement Boys. The Basement Boys have produced countless dance classics like the 1991 Gold single “Gypsy Woman” (la da dee, la da da.) DJ Teddy has been spinning over 30 years. “Rejoicing” LP received a Grammy nomination best Remix by Louie Vega.
